Mlimani Valley – A Milimani Park Community Project

 

Building Futures Through Sport, Health & Opportunity

Mlimani Park Community is a place where young people can learn, grow and build a future for themselves.

Our project is aimed especially at young adults who have left school early, as well as those who have completed their school education but have limited opportunities to continue with professional training or find meaningful employment.

At the heart of the project are sport, health and nutrition. Through practical education and training, young people will gain skills that can lead to real jobs and future careers — as sports coaches, fitness trainers, activity guides, health and nutrition assistants, tourism professionals and community leaders.

 

A School Connected to Real Life

We don't want to create an educational project that depends permanently on donations. Our goal is to build a place that gradually becomes a social business, generating its own income and creating employment at the same time.

Within five years, Mlimani Park Community aims to be largely self-sustainable.

And we have a unique opportunity to achieve this through tourism.

Our location in Mto wa Mbu is ideal. The town lies directly on one of Tanzania's most important tourism routes, travelled by visitors on their way to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.

We want to connect these visitors with the community in a meaningful and natural way.

 

A Hub for the Community and for Visitors

Mlimani Park Community will become much more than a school. It will be a lively hub where education, sport, community and tourism come together.

Visitors will be able to join sporting and outdoor activities, meet and train alongside our students, enjoy locally prepared food, buy healthy lunchboxes for their safari journey, or simply stop for lunch and experience the project firsthand.

In the future, we also plan to offer simple accommodation, allowing visitors to stay for one or two nights and participate more deeply in activities and parts of the school's daily programme.

Every activity creates an opportunity for our students to learn through real experience — while at the same time generating income for the project.

Tourism helps finance education. Education creates employment. And employment gives young people the opportunity to build their own future.

Our ambition is simple: to create a project that does not only help young people today, but develops into a sustainable community business that can continue creating opportunities for generations to come.
